It seems like this year was an especially tough one on the entertainment community.  So many very talented people died this year.  I just thought I would make a short list in remembrance of the people I am going to miss the most.

Eartha Kit

Bernie Mac

Susan Pleshette

Bo Diddly

Granted, we didn’t know any of these people, but after you see so many of their movies and read about their lives it seems like you do.  It is also impossible to not recognize the great loss of talent.

Also, let’s not forget Sir Edmund Hillary.  A great man, with a great accomplishment.

We went to see “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” today with Edythe, Phil and Rebecca.  It was an excellent movie.  To sum up the plot without giving anything away:

Benjamin (Brad Pitt) is born the size of a baby, but looks like an old man.  He then gets younger while everyone around him gets older.

This movie is very sad, but it makes you think.  It is very entertaining.  I would highly recommend it.  Everyone else liked it too

We also watched Wall-e.  It was so funny!  There is almost no dialogue in the whole movie which was very interesting.  I really liked this one too!  Very different from Benjamin Button, but equally good.

Just thought someone might care…

We get up this morning and I go to jump in the shower and there is no water.  WTF?  Chris looks out the window and the whole street is full of water!  A water main on our street burst sometime between 2am (when we went to bed) and 7:45am (when we got up).  The 7-10 inches of snow in our street has now turned in to 12-14 inches of black slush, which has now turned into 5-8 inches of solid black ice…  Disgusting.

I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas.  We had a very nice Christmas with dinners, breakfasts and presents with both families.  It was nice to spend time with everyone.  We received many (MANY) very nice presents that we are very thankful for.  Of course, the blizzard kinda put a cramp in things…  We have gotten right around 18 inches of snow in two days!  It has been like living in a snow globe!  Tilly hates it!  She gets lost in the snow!  I hope had a fabulous holiday and that everyone is safe!

On an unrelated note, most of my grades are posted… 1 A, 1 B, and 3 B+’s! I’m still waiting on one grade and to be able to register for classes next semester.

Though some of those came out last year, I am pretty sure it was within the last 12 months-ish We also really enjoyed My Left Foot starring Daniel Day Lewis.  Very inspirational and interesting movie.

I also watched the complete series of Friends (always a favorite), Mad About You (an oldie but a goodie) and Still Standing.  If you haven’t watched this show I highly recommend it! It is a crack up!

• Chris graduating and getting hired at Farm Bureau
• Obama getting elected
• Celebrating our one year anniversary
• Gas hitting 4 dollars a gallon and dropping again
• Prop 8…
• Portland Trip
• Phoenix Trip

• Camping with the whole Joslin Clan
• My new car
